Scrap Battalion changes
New Mechanic: Tier 0 Units
At the star of a run you will six random tier 0 units automatically on the field. This will greatly increase the velocity of early game builds and give players meaningful choices when deciding to replace early tier characters. These tier 0 unit do not appear in the shop which keeps the shop focus on developing better units in you battalion.
New Units:
Skeleton: A medium range, heavy armor unit with good AoE attack.
Electrician: A single target specialist unit which aims to stun lock targeted enemies.
Bird Trainer: Long distance backline unit which will support with bird summons.
Grunt: Skirmisher style unit with a fast firing SMG and large health pool.
Scavenger: An early damage scaling unit with a devastating shotgun
Slime: Can consume items without deploying and has a corrosive attack to melt armor.
Peasant: Passively gains experience and promotes into a stronger unit.
Giant Roach: A swarm style unit which can be deployed from the bench.
Balance:
Militia has a new weapon, the RPG. Slow fire rate heavy damage and AoE
Difficulty 0 has more enemies for the first 10 waves
Enemy waves have higher level enemies
Challenges on average provide more money
Coffee now give a random boost for +9 speed instead of +3 for all fielded units
QoL
Pressing Space Bar during UI VFX will skip playing all queued VFX
Mimics now copy weapons at the end of the shop phase instead of at the end of deploy
