Since the announcement of SCP:Infohazard we have gotten a lot of questions about the content, playstyle, and more. One of the biggest responses is always "I wish I had VR so I could play this" or "Is it coming to desktop?"

We heard you. And we want to share the awesome Infohazard experience with all of you. So we've come to a decision: Infohazard will be developed with cross-play in mind.

This will be a bit of a change. Like our previous VR titles, we approached the development of the game with solely VR in mind. And while we still want to make sure the VR experience is super immersive and as amazing as possible, we will be developing the flat-screen experience alongside it.

Some VR things don't translate well to flat-screen, though. What this means is that non-VR users are likely going to have some tangible changes in the experience—things like object manipulation and weapons will be handled completely differently. So, because of that, we are going to recommend that this game be played in VR if possible. But we're going to do everything we can to make the desktop experience just as fun.
