changedDuring development, we have gone back and forth on the inclusion of a weapon in the game. From the Original trailer of the game to several updates along the way, we have experimented with different ways for the player to defend themselves. Not against anomalies—never against the anomalies—but against the other monsters of the game: people.
changedIn many playtests and even the original teaser released in January of this year, D-974 was entirely unarmed. But the goal was never to be defenseless. The weapon, or weapons, given to the player must be useful, require management of a precious resource, and ideally be an existing SCP.

During development, we have gone back and forth on the inclusion of a weapon in the game. From the Original trailer of the game to several updates along the way, we have experimented with different ways for the player to defend themselves. Not against anomalies—never against the anomalies—but against the other monsters of the game: people.

In many playtests and even the original teaser released in January of this year, D-974 was entirely unarmed. But the goal was never to be defenseless. The weapon, or weapons, given to the player must be useful, require management of a precious resource, and ideally be an existing SCP.

Our version of SCP-127 is a bit different from the original written by far2. Instead of regrowing teeth, D-974 must harvest this previous ammunition from the environment: from corpses of dead Foundation agents littering the facility and from GOC operatives he takes down.

But teeth are a precious commodity. Use the bullets sparingly, or you might find yourself running out when you need them most.
