Scourge of the Reptiles changes
Hi folks, this is your monthly update from Kyoti, friendly developer of Scourge of the Reptiles.
Steam post imageThis is new Choose Your Weapon advert.
Scourge appeared in ANZ Indie Showcase this month with many other excellent Ozzie games.
It's been another busy month of content building! Act 2 is finally built - I even went and did the testing for new functions that were coded to support events in levels 11-15. Bugs found, bugs fixed. Enough QA at least to know that these levels will fire up and not crash, if not play through 100% - that proper testing is waiting for later, while I build up Act 3.
Then I did the prep for Act 3. All twelve mounts are finished! Including a secret mount that is just so cool, I hope people find it and have a blast with that one. I don't think its too spoiler-ey to say that Act 3 mounts include Triceratops, Mammoth, Barghest, Styracosaur. You might think the largest mounts are the best but in fact the smaller ones take up less space on a battlefield which makes them more versatile - can't wait to see which ones become player favourites.
Oh, and one final armour type render, one shield, one helmet, and one weapon. And thats it for the modular renders at last! Really should have built tools to do that...
Level 15 took ages to build, but is such a large and complex dungeon that it's like two levels in one. Mega dungeon perhaps?
Level 16 is coming along well, and I can really feel the approach of last level build (20) when I can finally begin the main QA process on this 35 hour long beast of an RPG. During that time I will begin private testing and prep a playable demo to release around February.
Until next month, see you later!
