When we first started working on Scars of Honor, it was just a small passion project-one person dreaming of bringing back the classic MMO feeling, but with modern systems, smooth combat, and meaningful progression. Today, that dream has grown into a global studio of over 100 developers, artists, and designers, all working together to make this vision a reality.

Choosing Steam as our launch platform wasn’t a decision we took lightly. While self-publishing has its benefits, Steam offers unparalleled reach, community tools, and discoverability for MMORPG players. It lets us showcase our game to millions of potential adventurers, provide regular updates, and connect directly with players through the Community Hub, discussions, and dev diaries.

We’re thrilled to share our first dev diary, where we take you behind the scenes of Scars of Honor and show how our world, combat, and characters came to life.

From Dream to Studio

Our journey began with a single idea-one person trying to revive the classic MMO experience. Over the years, that idea grew into a full studio with a shared vision: build a world that blends nostalgia with modern technology. In our first dev diary, we introduce our team and show how the studio collaborates every day, from brainstorming sessions to playtesting and concept art creation.

"What began as one idea is now a full team building the world of Scars of Honor together."- Venelin Vasilev, Creative Director

The World and Art of Scars of Honor

Every zone, every piece of armor, every environmental object is handmade. With a full visual overhaul, new lighting, and textures, the game now has a clear identity and a look all its own.

"Every rock, every tree, every piece of armor tells part of Scars of Honor’s story."- Rasmus Hansen, Art Director

Dungeons, PvE, and Adventure

Dungeons are at the heart of the adventure. Designed for five-player co-op, even rival factions can team up to tackle procedurally generated challenges. From boss fights to puzzles and dynamic environments, no two dungeon runs are ever the same.

"These are not just fights. They are stories you live through together."- Alex Filipov, Design Director

PvP and Class Combat

Combat is skill-focused and dynamic, with arenas and 5v5 battlegrounds giving players a chance to test their builds and strategies. With the Scars and Talents system, no two characters are alike, allowing for unique playstyles and endless experimentation.

"PvP in Scars of Honor is all about skill. Every move and every decision matters."- Alex Filipov, Design Director

What’s Next: Early 2026 Demo

We’re excited to announce that our first playable demo will launch in early 2026. Players will be able to experience Scars of Honor, test a range of talents and Scars, explore multiple races, and face a variety of enemies.

Add Scars of Honor to your Steam wishlist today and be among the first to step into Aragon when the adventure begins.
