Demo Patch 2.0
Thanks again for all the feedback and bug reports as we continue polishing the Scallywags demo. Today’s update focuses heavily on stability, clarity, and stopping your crew from getting lost under the deck. Here’s what’s new:
Gameplay & Systems
Scallywags will no longer starve to death while travelling.
Projectiles now destroy themselves on Victory, with additional polish to clean up lingering effects.
- Boarding FixResolved an issue where Board wasn’t triggering its dispatcher when fully charged, breaking the tutorial.
Visual & Camera Improvements
- Map LegendFixed low‑res/blurry map legend.
- Treasure MarkerAdded the treasure X to the map legend for better clarity.
- Enemy Cast FXFixed the tinker bell FX when the Gullywag boss turns.
UI/UX
- Hull Point UIFixed hull points not updating when taking damage.
- End of Run StatsFixed Scallywag stats not displaying correctly in the tutorial.
- Victory Menu Soft LockFixed a bug where opening the inventory right before the Victory Menu caused a soft lock.
- Sea Shanty IconCorrected Scallywags job icon when they spawn.
Crew Behavior & Navigation
- Invis Crew on BailersFixed invisible crew appearing on bailers.
NavBlocker Improvements: Expanded the player ship’s NavBlocker to cover more under‑deck space, reducing crew popping below deck after firefighting.
Added a NavBlocker to the Simpair ship to prevent crew from finding invalid under‑deck positions.
Additional adjustments to stop crew from navigating into under‑deck voids.
Bug Fixes
Victory Projectile Cleanup: More polish to ensure projectiles behave correctly after encounters.
