addedThis is Tanya and Emily, your friendly local villainesses and devs of the upcoming otome isekai game, Save the Villainess. This month, as the flowers of May bloom, we’re celebrating the birthday of our favorite neurodivergent Duke of the North, Izel Kuzey. He’s got a brand new animated teen character sprite, a brand new teen character video, and a new set of character cards for you to request through email. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the kind of boy Izel was before he became an icy Duke of the North, come read this update!
addedWe also programmed Scenes 42 and 43. These scenes included a new romantic choice and required Emily to create a significant amount of new animation that will eventually be reused within the game. We then tested the scenes again to ensure it conveyed the right amounts of tenderness and horror.
changedAdditionally, we wrote and revised Scene 44, which includes a large amount of conditional dialogue. We hope you’ll have fun exploring the events that result from making some off-the-wall choices in this fun segment! You might even trigger an easter-egg with the right choices…
addedFinally, we’re preparing the intial programming of a new character, as well as a new background that is important to a fan-favorite character. We’ll show you more next month!

This month, as the flowers of May bloom, we’re celebrating the birthday of our favorite neurodivergent Duke of the North, Izel Kuzey. He’s got a brand new animated teen character sprite, a brand new teen character video, and a new set of character cards for you to request through email. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the kind of boy Izel was before he became an icy Duke of the North, come read this update!

First, we are wishing a happy birthday to Izel Kuzey, who officially turns a year older every May 15, by animating his teen character sprite. This beautiful model was created by Somate Studio and took dozens of hours of work to complete.

Let’s see the results in the birthday video we’ve created for Teen Izel (and a special surprise guest) below!

After completing preliminary animations for Teen Izel, we completed Scene 41, which involves a flashback featuring him. This flashback will be vital to solving a future mystery deduction. We love the way it turned out and can’t wait to share more in the future.

We also programmed Scenes 42 and 43. These scenes included a new romantic choice and required Emily to create a significant amount of new animation that will eventually be reused within the game. We then tested the scenes again to ensure it conveyed the right amounts of tenderness and horror.
