Repeated intro

Hello,

What changed

0 fixes1 addition2 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • Compatibility
changedWhile I am mostly done with the game, I am looking for feedback will do my best to provide bug-fixes and improvements where people uncover the need for them. That being said (and even given the games awful spaghetti code) I am going to release at least one big content pack for free in the near future. Depending on ongoing playtime metrics and requests, I may even shoot for two, though at that point I might charge for “DLC”.
changedSap is Widows only at the moment, and will stay that way for a bit. Again, depending on demand, I will look into supporting macOS. The trash architecture for the game is already creaking under its awfully managed weight, but I might try and reimplement generic controller support.
addedAs I said, if you’re looking for a unique, lightweight experience with a gentle pace, Sap might be for you. I am already working on a new project which promises to be a sort of spiritual sequel to Sap, and will hopefully offer a greater, more complete experience.

In just a short few days, Sap makes its debut. The wishlisting I’ve seen so far is crazy! I can’t wait to see what people think about it. Before it does launch I feel it’s critical to say a few things about it:

  • Sap is an extremely simplistic life sim that I mostly wrote as a capstone project for my Bachelors. So long as you go into it with that perspective, I think you’ll have a good time. This is more a zen lunch-break experience, less so Factorio.

I’d like to preemptively thank anyone who wishlisted and/or who will play the game after lunch. I cannot wait to hear your thoughts. See you all soon,

Eli
