Patch 1.7.9.1 is now live!
This update focuses on Improvements/optimization, bug fixes, and additional polish across several areas of the game.
Additions
Added a new Area Display UI.
Zone names will now appear on screen after transitioning into a new area.
Added new door transition animations for Sewers entrances and exits.
Added a door transition animation to the VHS Shop backdoor.
Improvements
Updated how Modern Mode audio positioning functions.
Previously, audio direction was tied to the direction Kris was facing. Audio is now tied to the third-person camera, helping reduce directional confusion and improving awareness while exploring.
Updated and optimized the Headlight.
The Headlight has been adjusted significantly and should now feel more impactful and less prone to bugs. Additional adjustments may continue to ensure it feels both balanced and useful.
Updated the Survivor Stories Instructions Document with new images and fonts.
Updated Audio Tape Documents with new images and fonts.
Optimized performance in the Sewers area.
Cleaned up several decals throughout the Sewers area.
Fixes & Adjustments
Fixed the previously reported issue in Modern Mode where aiming at enemies positioned significantly above or below the player could occasionally fail to register hits (for example, aiming from the bottom of stairs toward enemies at the top).
Fixed an issue where the Main St glowstick would not properly move positions when intended.
Fixed an issue with the new Text Animation system where rapidly picking up identical items could display incorrect text.
Fixed collision issues on the Maintenance Building doors.
Updated all Sewers fuse-controlled door systems to properly update their locked/unlocked state on the Map UI.
Updated all Sewers fuse unlock interactions to correctly update associated door states on the Map UI.
Applied missing Text Animation effects to items inside the locked table in the Generator Room.
