addedLast week on SteelSpeak’s YouTube channel , Producer nine2 showed off the awesome new content for Sanctuary Shattered Sun.
addedA new training simulator has been added to the pre-alpha version of the game which is exclusively available to Patreon supporters. It provides short standalone missions which are not part of the final campaign, but intended to introduce you to how Sanctuary plays. There’s one mission where you start without the option to build combat units, and another where your energy infrastructure has been destroyed and you need to restore your shields before you’re attacked.
addedWe have made significant progress with multiplayer which should excite competitive players. Base building, hosting, joining, pathfinding. We have tested large unit count battles (1000 vs 1000) and hope to give you a look at the multiplayer soon.
addedThe UI is in the process of being reworked to match the artificial world vibe of the game, and a new expenses bar has been added to the UI to show you what percentage of your resources are going to different uses. The plan is to reduce interface overload, streamline the UI, and reduce the number of clicks needed to understand your economic situation.
addedWe have made some improvements to VFX with shield visuals (more volumetric, impact effects, and visual cues for when a shield is about to go pop), and factory build effects (laser beams, fog and smoke effects). Experimentals now have ambient visual effects and there are animations/VFX for commander units. The environment has been updated with light wells (holes that beam light upward), space lungs (mega infrastructure pieces), exposed metal plates, and cryofluid pipes underground.

Difficulty will scale, from easy to hard and it’s a way to give content to people with different tastes: puzzles, survival, etc.
The amazing Chosen Tier 5 Experimental was announced. This ‘game ender’ destroys everything in it’s path and is ultra-hard to kill. Each faction will have its very own unique T5. One of the missions in the training simulator, Kiss of Death, let’s you control this Apex Predator in a mission to wipe out all opposition.
