Hey everyone! I’m Shy, one of the developers behind Samurai Standoff... And I’m excited to finally share that after months of planning, prototyping, and refining, the public playtest is officially live on Steam! 🥳

This game has been a real passion project for us. Seeing players jump in, duel, and share feedback is a huge milestone, and it genuinely helps shape where the game goes next.
🗺️ What’s coming next? This playtest is just the beginning. We’re already working on several major features that will expand the experience:
🎴 Story‑driven mode — travel across a stylized map of feudal lands, choosing your next opponent. Not every stop is a duel; some will feature unique reflex‑based mini‑games and encounters.

🥷 Multiplayer is also expanding, with several modes in development: • Same‑screen standalone duels with controller support (coming soon in the demo!) • Party mode over the same network • Self‑hosted online 1v1 matches
This playtest is just the first step.
