Salty Hounds changes
This update brings a major round of quality-of-life improvements to make your experience smoother and more enjoyable.
A brand-new smartphone UI, the removal of the 50-week time limit, map navigation upgrades, and more — there's plenty to check out!
📱 Smartphone System Overhaul [NEW]
Phone/SMS System Revamp: The phone UI has been significantly redesigned for better usability.
You can now make calls from multiple locations, not just at home. When the right conditions are met, the phone icon will vibrate to let you know.
♾️ 50-Week Limit Removed & Playtime Extended
- 50-Week Limit RemovedThe early access ending that triggered at week 50 has been completely removed. Play at your own pace — no more time pressure before reaching the ending.
Extended Action Hours: Your daily action time now runs all the way to midnight (24:00).
Extended Shop Hours: Various locations now stay open into the morning hours, making it much easier to plan your day.
🗺️ Map Navigation & Interaction QoL Improvements
[NEW] Minimap & Exit Hover: Hover over minimap icons or map exits to preview location names. (Excludes characters' personal homes)
[NEW] Enhanced TO-DO Date Info: The TO-DO list now displays 1) your date partner, 2) the date location, and 3) the scheduled time for any planned dates.
Unified Interaction Keys: All events — including building entrances — can now be activated with a mouse click, 'W', or '↑'.
- Increased Movement SpeedRunning speed has been increased by approximately 1.3x.
Improved UI Visibility: Icons for building entrances and interactable objects have been redesigned to stand out more clearly, and their animations are now smoother.
📅 NPC Schedules & Balance Adjustments
Time Deduction Rework: Talking to a character no longer immediately deducts 15 minutes. Time is now only deducted when you choose options that involve an action, such as gifting.
- NPC Schedule UpdateCharacters' daily schedules have been updated, along with all related schedule hints and dialogue.
Minimap Icon Visibility: Character icons will no longer appear on the minimap during the hours when they're staying at their personal homes.
[Balance] Request Progress gain at LV. 2–3 has been increased, making work feel less demanding.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
[Fix] Fixed a bug where the game would freeze when in-game time exceeded 24:00.
[Fix] Fixed the interior comment arrow on player home 1F — it now points to the center of the living room instead of the hallway.
