We wanted to make a metroidvania with a focus on momentum based platforming and crazy physics that lets players go nuts without the traditional upgrades like double jumps and dashes.
addedSince Rusted Moss’ initial release, we added in free DLC that amounted to 10+ extra hours of content and two new playable characters. Though we were certain we would not make a sequel, I think it became clear to us that we were not done exploring the unique grappling mechanic (and rocket jumps!) to its fullest. The results…. Iron Bramble, a spiritual successor and not sequel.
addedWe brought on two new members to our team (Riuku and Hokori) to help us out with the larger scope we have planned (More news on that later…). Iron Bramble will be made with 100% human suffering, no AI used!

Iron Bramble is the spiritual successor to Rusted Moss, another grappling hook metroidvania we released a few years back. Rusted Moss was meant to be a small experimental game. As most games do, it quickly became the victim of scope creep and we were surprised that we somehow ended up with a full game that got released on Steam.

For those Rusted Moss players that have followed us onto this project - thank you so much! We wouldn’t have started development on Iron Bramble without all of your support. I think seeing the speedruns, the mods and custom levels players have made, the positive feedback we’ve gotten, were all really encouraging to us to give this thing another go.
