RuneSage changes
I'm delighted to announce that the latest version of RuneSage available today adds the Lightning Rune together with new spells to cast, new puzzles to solve, new quests to complete and new crystal shards to find. In addition, I've made a number of improvements that keep adding further polish to the game; improving both the graphics/audio as well as the general flow of the game to enhance the immersion. The full list of change since V0.16.0 is as follows.
Added lightning rune.
Added eight new lightning spells.
Added the seven shards of the lightning crystal to find.
Added map to the lightning crystal.
Added four new achievements for lightning (rune / map / shards / crystal)
Added new achievement for completing the crystal shield.
Added three in-game maps to help find the sun crystal shards.
Added explosive effects to fireball & iceball spells.
Added rune specific effects to each of the hidden pathways.
Added more environmental clues to help find the hidden pathways.
Added more in-game help from the NPCs.
Added loading progress indicator.
Improved scroll texts.
Improved the in-game maps to the hidden pathways.
Improved performance when auto-saving.
Improved performance when spell casting.
Improved performance when loading.
Improved graphics of the crystal shield.
Improved graphics in the sacred grove.
Improved background audio effects.
Improved the layout of the castle moat.
Fixed bug with scroll text briefly fading while auto-saving.
This release marks a major milestone in the development of RuneSage as the game can now be fully completed to 100%. The next stage of development is to focus on adding further polish to work towards a full release later this summer or early autumn/fall.
