Feedback Fixes Update | V0.6.2 Release

Hey all - Tom here!

ROVA has been out for a couple of days now, and wow... what a response! It's been amazing to see so many people enjoy the game, and we are so thankful for everyone that has supported us.

We have compiled a priority list of fixes / changes based on your feedback. You will see these changes over the following weeks as we improve and expand the game.

This update primarily aims to address one priority issue (with a few other fixes sprinkled in).

What's Changed?

As with any Early Access release, there have been a few issues that needed an urgent fix.

The Previous Patch (V0.6.1) - Launch issues Fixed

In V0.6.1 we resolved some launch issues. If the game won't launch for you, updating should fix it. I'm repeating this information here to ensure it reaches anyone who missed the update.

This Update (V0.6.2)

The most glaring issue impacting gameplay for some players is a ridiculously high framerate on some GPU's. This is the main reason for this update.

  • Added VSYNC (enabled by default), which caps framerate to your monitor's max refresh rate.

You can find this setting under GRAPHICS, in the options menu.

In a future update we will add a framerate cap as an alternative to VSYNC to give you more control. VYSNC was the fastest option to release first.

Other Changes

  • Reduced the paint particle effect time to 0.4 seconds when changing rover colour

  • Minor optimisations, setting various static objects to static

  • Spelling / Dialogue corrections

  • Added wind effects to some plants

  • Adjusted various object positions for easier photography

Community Feedback

If you do have any future feedback, the best place to share it is in the steam community forums.
