Rocks Tools Hordes changes
Steam post imageWe want to say a huge
THANK YOU!
to all the players who joined the Rocks Tools Hordes playtest.
Your time, interest, and feedback mean the world to us and play a crucial role in shaping the future
of the game.
We carefully read every comment, bug report, suggestion, and piece of criticism. Thanks to you,
we now have a clear understanding of what needs improvement, what already works well, and
what can be made even better.
We’ve also seen that a large number of players experienced issues with save files not loading
correctly and some crafting actions breaking or behaving inconsistently. These are currently the
most common and urgent problems, and we’ve already started working on immediate fixes. Our
goal is to stabilize saving and crafting as quickly as possible so these issues won’t appear in future
builds.
We’re also working on several other important issues that many players mentioned, including
overly long crafting times and various problems with zombies not behaving or appearing correctly.
These systems clearly need refinement, and we’ve already started adjusting craft timers and stabilizing
enemy behavior to make everything feel smoother and more consistent. These fixes are among our
next priorities and will be addressed in the near future.
We’ve also taken note of all remaining issues, including soft-lock situations, movement
inconsistencies, repair kit behavior, block targeting problems, and other smaller bugs. These are all
on our list, and we’ll be addressing them as we continue improving the game.
Save file issues — loading failures, missing items, soft-locks.
Crafting problems — broken crafting actions, long timers, hand-craft delays.
Zombie bugs — disappearing sprites, invisible attackers, damage reactions.
Soft-lock cases — missing hammer, destroyed stations, blocking progression.
Movement issues — sprint not activating consistently.
Repair system — using all repair kits instead of one.
Tutorials - lack of explanation about core mechanics
Minor things - lack of wood, better keyboard bindings, siege timer etc
What’s Next
Our nearest goal is preparing for Steam Demo Festival, and we’re putting extra effort into tightening and
polishing the game for that showcase. Stability, balance, and overall feel are our main focus right
now to make sure the demo represents the game at its best.
After event, you can expect more content coming your way — new locations, new zombie
types, and a bit of bonus gameplay content we’ve been saving for later. We’re excited for the next
steps and can’t wait to share more with you soon.
