Hope you've been well since the last time we spoke. We are coming in hot with new stuff implemented, we have re-shifted priorities to bring you heavily requested content ahead of schedule and to even bring 1.0 features into Early Access. This also means that certain automation features that were initially planned for the Automation Update will be coming sooner.
As always, we are reading every review and forum post, it's incredibly important to us to hear what you have to say about Roadside Research's development. If you have an urgent question, hop into the Discord where we can answer you faster. Otherwise the Steam Forums are also a great place to ask questions.
Summary - Mini Content Update February 26th
You can now wear hats! 6 new skin colors, 1 new body type, outfits, and more.
You can pet the dog! There is a cat now as well.
The pause menu now has a newly updated "How to Play" section with more in-depth information on how to interact with the game's systems.
Minigames are now clearer with better UI and more explanations.

Patch Notes for Mini Update - February 26th
New content:
- 11 Hats
- 6 new Skin colors
- 1 new body type
- 2 new outfits - 4 clothing pieces in total
- 4 new pant colors
- 3 new shirt colors
- Added a cat placeable decoration
Popular requests:
- You can now pet that dawg (and cat)
- Tweaked Dog audio and volume
- You can type numbers in the credit card screen with the number buttons on keyboard
- Fixed an issue where it was possible only give back 1 cent at the cash register
- Reworked the number of pump vs store customers. This should give a much better balance especially for solo players towards the endgame
- Made the life of solo players a bit easier when the last pump upgrade is unlocked
- Raised max customer cap based on store upgrades
- V-sync is ON by default
- It should be easier to see goop and dirt at night
- All minigames should have improved UI now to make it easier to understand them
- All minigames have explanations in the How to Play section in the pause menu
- Customer satisfaction has some explanations in the How to Play section in the pause menu
- Increased box limit in store from 100 to 500
- Increased Agent investigation time to make it easier to probe as a solo player
Other fixes
- Credit card keypad should update for everyone now
- Aliens will now get Conked in trash scanner
- When Aliens are high on Goopster Energy, they will also throw stronger
- Fixed an issue where the money and research UI was offset in edit mode
- Fix an issue where saves might get lost when the game was force quit or crashed
- Added thumb sticks dead zones (customizable dead zones are coming in the next update)
- Attempt at fixing the 4th player cannot join issue. For some people activating their VPN fixed this aswell.
