Rise of the Settlement changes
Greetings, Settlers 🏛️
Questing has been on my improvement list for quite some time. As settlements grow and production becomes stronger, many production quests could become too easy and repetitive over time. Version 0.0.15 focuses on improving this part of the game by making production quests scale better with your settlement’s progress.
This update introduces Quest Tiers, new settlement type benefits, several production improvements, and a few important fixes.
Quest Tiers
All production quests now have tiers.
A new tab has been added to the Quest Panel where you can see the current tier status of all available production quests.
Each time a production quest is completed successfully, that quest receives experience points. When enough experience is gained, the quest can be upgraded to the next tier if it has become too easy for your current settlement.
With each tier upgrade:
Required production increases by 50%
Quest rewards also increase by 50%
This should help production quests remain more meaningful as your settlement becomes stronger and more efficient.
The active quest panel now also displays the tier of each started quest, so it is easier to see the difficulty level of the quest you are currently working on.
Please note that only production quests have tiers. Expedition quests and Feast quests do not use this system.
Settlement Type Benefits
Settlement progression now applies several important limits and benefits depending on the current settlement type.
Settlement type now affects:
Maximum taxes
Life expectancy
Population cap
Gate Camp capacity

This should make settlement progression feel more meaningful and provide clearer long-term goals as your community grows.
Improvements
Improved and reworked parts of the production mechanics.
The Settlement Progression tab now also shows tool needs per society class.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that some buildings could not get positive wealth
Fixed production-related behavior that could lead to incorrect results in some cases.
Final Notes
Version 0.0.15 is focused on making quest progression more interesting and better connected to settlement growth.
Quest Tiers should help production quests stay relevant for longer, especially once your settlement becomes more efficient and starts producing larger quantities of goods.
