Rise and Fall: Bronze Age changes
A little news for you. From now on, I hope to give more news and make you more participate for the new updates. I already used a bit the betas of Steam to let you test the patches. But I didn't always tell you what was in the betas and when I posted them.
The idea is that while I'm working on the next big update (currently version 0.63), I should beta the current build, if possible at least once a month. This will avoid a lack of news for months like what happened between the release and the last big update. If you see [Next_update] at the beginning, it will be for the beta. If it's [The X Update], it's the official release of the update.
This beta will also be the last patch before the next major update. It will be available for testing until next weekend. Don't hesitate to test it so that I know if there are any bugs that still need to be fixed.
As a reminder, to use Betas on Steam, right-click on your game in your library and click Properties. Then click on Betas and choose ‘next_update’.
And here's the first one:
[Next_update]
Events added/changes -Added 3 events for regencies. If your new ruler is less than 8 years old, have no or one uncle, then if this uncle or your first noble chief are deceitfull and cruel, they will murder him and take the throne, provoking either an end to the regency, or the rise of a new dynasty
Gameplay added -Now, 1/200th of the need for workers for your constructions will be added to the base admin cost of your territories. It will of course be modified by infrastructures, distance to the capital, etc -Now, every 25 points of autonomy over all your territories will increase the Maximum Influence for your nobles and clergies by 0.1. So if you have 250 autonomy from multiple territories, it will increase by 1 the Max Influence of both the nobles and clergies
Tweaks to Gameplay -Now the consanguinity will impact fertility of character when above 7, from above 4. Also, consanguinity will reduce the max health of characters by its full value from only half of it -Now the egyptian chiefs(factions with 3 territories or less) will be names "Heri-tep", the egyptian equivalent of the nomarchs. Also, now the kings of Egypt will always be named with the title of "Nesou-bity", even if they have less than 50 territories -Between the beginning of inter-familial marriage and 3000BC, Consanguinity will increase less rapidly. It will also apply if you are neither Upper, Lower, or Middle Egypt, or Egypt. After all, if your claim to the Throne of the Two Lands is not enough, why marry with your sister ? -Increased the effect of the technique increasing the divider for the admin cost from populations, from +10 to +15
Bugs corrected -The yellow UI elements for the explanation of the Army Menu have been resized accordingly -Every first text of each tutorial past the 2nd one, was in french when in english. It have been corrected -Corrected the fact that when you continued the tutorials and arrived in the last one, the events were not shown until the last one
UI changes -Reorganized a bit the construction sub-menu for preparing the arrival of the new buildings -Now, clicking on the sub-menus of the Territory Menu, or closing it, will close the window after you sent a gift to another faction -Changed the tooltips for autonomy and the Influence of the Nobles and the Clergies. The one for autonomy will tell you how much it increase the Max Influence of your nobles and clergies. And the ones for the Influence of the Nobles and Clergies in the Elites Menu, will tell you the different sources of Influence for those two elites -Now the buttons for increasing or decreasing autonomy will change their tooltips depending of either it will move by 20 the autonomy, or less because you are closer to the limits for this territory
