0.4.11 Hello! We've been hard at work with 1.0 content, but wanted to stop by and give our EA release some love. Most of this is QoL updates which will help inform us if we are moving in the right direction with 1.

Hello! We've been hard at work with 1.0 content, but wanted to stop by and give our EA release some love. Most of this is QoL updates which will help inform us if we are moving in the right direction with 1.0 content. We are expecting a few more EA updates, but internally we are on the final stretch of 1.0 development.

UI

  • Pausing the game now pauses the timer.

  • Run stats view has been updated to include more stats.

  • Doors now have collision boxes that force the player through the door.

  • Weapons will now auto reload when empty, the player no longer has to force a reload.

  • The pause menu and settings menus have been updated and refreshed.

  • The underlying code around all menus has been updated. We hope this removes menu bugs that caused views to remain on screen.

  • Two new experimental aim settings has been added:

    • auto aim

    • auto aim + auto fire

  • The current aim assist has also been reworked and is experimental.

  • Added default mappings for dualshock controllers.

  • Added default mappings for amazon fire tv remote.

  • Added default mappings for ps4 rockband drumset.

  • The tutorial has been updated to teach some more concepts to the player.

  • The space dungeon will occasionally spawn a small room that requires the player to dash across to exit the room.

Enemies and other NPCs

Yellow Jacket

  • The YJ boss arena has been reworked to be more in line with the design of the other dock rooms. We hope this means that there is a little more room to dash around and avoid cyclones and bullets.

  • Yellow Jacket cyclones now have 1hp and can be shot and destroyed.

Runtimes

Pay To Not Play

  • For every 500 plu spent decrease boss health by 1%.

  • Pay to Not Play added to the game.

Calamities

openfraine's Wealth Tax

  • openfaine's careful manipulation of the plu economy forces every 150 of unspent plu to decrease damage done by Beary by 1%.

  • openfraine's Wealth Tax added to the game.
