changedWe've been shipping various optimization patches recently, primarily focused on preventing the game from crashing. We've received reports that, on some devices, trying to handle too many tenants within a single frame could consistently cause the game to crash. Because of this, our recent optimization patches have been focused on preventing those situations from occurring.
changedWith today's patch, our main focus has been improving stability and overall smoothness when dealing with thousands upon thousands of tenants. Here's a screenshot of one such extreme case.
removedIn previous versions, it took several seconds to remove all tenants from the board when exiting the shop, and then several more seconds to recreate them afterward. With the latest Patch 1.0.17 , that time has been reduced to roughly 1 / 10 of what it was before, while also keeping the frame rate much more stable.
changedOver the past two weeks, we've nearly rebuilt the game's underlying systems to support tenant counts far beyond what we originally expected players to reach. At this point, I don't see much room for further optimization, as unrendered tenants are now about as lightweight as they can possibly be. Hopefully, these changes make Endless Mode much smoother and more enjoyable to play.
changedIncreased the rent generation ramping speed after reaching several thousand tenants.
fixedFixed an issue where food items could be consumed while in the shop under certain conditions.
