Relictor changes
The first huge update this year! Relictor v0.7
And here’s what’s new:
Chapter 2, Tundra location, and the continuation of the storyline. While Chapter 1 takes approximately an hour to complete, Chapter 2 might take a bit more or a bit less, depending on various factors, including luck.
Improved artificial intelligence with certain traits that affect unit behavior. Traits are assigned randomly during creation and can also be granted when leveling up. These traits can be transferred during export through the Entity Bank. However, now after extracting the essence, the donor glider self-destructs. Traits can significantly change unit behavior and are divided into three types: positive, neutral, and negative. There are around 80 different traits in total.
Enhanced graphics and even more enemies in the area, with richer visuals and a boost to FPS. This means the game might even run on very old hardware. It's hard to specify exactly which configurations, but our lowest available setup for testing was an i5 2500 CPU, a GTX750 GPU, and 8GB of RAM, achieving a stable 60 FPS on medium settings.
Modding support added. The "Data/Mods" folder now includes a "Default" folder as an example. Modifying files in this folder will alter the game. You can duplicate the "Default" folder, rename it (e.g., "MyMod" or "Mod_MegaModder"), and its contents will be imported alongside other mods. Currently, you can create translations for any language and work on voiceovers since voiceovers use the same text identifiers as the in-game text.
Significant work on acoustic atmosphere to enhance immersion.
Improvements to unit “thoughts.” You know our units think, set goals, and implement their ideas, right? And it’s not just the player’s units...
UI improvements.
And much more.
Note: The update will reset saved games.
