changedHi everyone!Thankfully, seeing you folks play, discover secrets, strategies, sharing your thoughts has reassured me that this silly dream of mine has a chance. Let's talk a little bit about some results and what happens next!
addedWhat now ?Steam Next Fest on June, 9th! It's a Steam event where game devs share their demos. As far as I could tell, we can find lots of new players as every game will get a decent amount of exposure. That's the hope, at least. Then we'll see! But before that, I have to make an announcement that I wasn't sure I wanted to make.
removedWhat now ?See, this channel's success got me pretty confident. It gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity to take a shot at making my biggest dream come true. It supported me financially for a long time. But it is no longer the case. Whether I fell off or just upset the algorithms, I don't know. But, see, I can no longer rely on this channel to be my main source of income.
addedWhat now ?Long gone are the days when all I needed money for is gaming. Now I have to pay rent, pay for food, pay for... Everything! Even subscriptions to all sorts of programs that I need to make videos and make the game. This is why I now have a Patreon page!
addedWhy should I donate ?Also, subscribing will give you some special Discord perks! A new shiny Supporter Cat role and, if you're a guy named Jeff, a super ultra mega powerful ⚡Ultra Cat⚡ role! Please only donate if you can afford it! I totally understand if you don't have money to spare in this economy.

Hi everyone!

It's already almost two weeks since I released the free demo for Reframe. Crazy! AND we just reached 100 members on our Discord! That's awesome!

First of all, thank you all so much for playing! It really means a lot to me. The launch day was really nerve-racking to me as I really had no idea if my game was any good. You know, I really tried hard, but I couldn't know for sure.

Thankfully, seeing you folks play, discover secrets, strategies, sharing your thoughts has reassured me that this silly dream of mine has a chance. Let's talk a little bit about some results and what happens next!

Steam stats.

Looking at Steam's stats, at least 246 people have downloaded and played the demo. Which is good! I'm really happy with those numbers, and we're just getting started! The median playtime fluctuates around 35 minutes, which is... As far as I could tell, it's pretty good? What really blew my mind though is the average playtime which is already at 2.5 hours. That's huge! Wow.

5% of players played for more than 10 hours and 1% of players played for over 20 hours. That is also amazing. Looks like the demo really turned out pretty huge. It can take as little as 2 hours to beat when only doing the main questline, but it can take over 10 hours to 100%.

Once again, thank you all so much for playing and sharing your feedback!

What now?

Steam Next Fest on June, 9th! It's a Steam event where game devs share their demos. As far as I could tell, we can find lots of new players as every game will get a decent amount of exposure. That's the hope, at least. Then we'll see! But before that, I have to make an announcement that I wasn't sure I wanted to make.

See, this channel's success got me pretty confident. It gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity to take a shot at making my biggest dream come true. It supported me financially for a long time. But it is no longer the case. Whether I fell off or just upset the algorithms, I don't know. But, see, I can no longer rely on this channel to be my main source of income.

Long gone are the days when all I needed money for is gaming. Now I have to pay rent, pay for food, pay for... Everything! Even subscriptions to all sorts of programs that I need to make videos and make the game. This is why I now have a Patreon page!

Why though?

First and foremost, this Patreon page will allow me to confidently continue the development of Reframe! I really can't do it without you guys... The development of the game is a full-time commitment. If I got a job again, the development of Reframe will probably take over a decade, if not longer. I really want the development of the game to be my sole focus for the next few years, and this will allow me to do just that!

Why should I donate?

But supporting the development is one thing! Even with the lowest tier subscription, you'll get access to some of my behind-the-scenes content (not, like, now, but it will be there in the future!), screenshots of the progress, detailed devlogs and much more! Of course, all of this will eventually become available to everyone for free, but being a subscriber will allow you to be among the first to see it all with your own eyes!

Also, subscribing will give you some special Discord perks! A new shiny Supporter Cat role and, if you're a guy named Jeff, a super ultra mega powerful ⚡Ultra Cat⚡ role! Please only donate if you can afford it! I totally understand if you don't have money to spare in this economy.

If you can't donate but you liked the game and want to help it thrive, please consider spreading the word about the game or telling about it to your favorite YouTubers. No pressure though:)

Thank you!!
