Previously, entering the barracks required a great deal of patience. After clicking the barracks button, the game would lag for nearly 10 seconds before you could press the “Edit Squad” button to customize your characters. And if you wanted to edit another character, you had to go back and load the scene again — because the barracks were in a separate scene.
Now, you can instantly manage your characters’ equipment or inventory right after pressing the barracks button! You can also switch between characters freely without needing to go back.
NPC illustrations have been added to the shops!
Amber – Weapon Shop
Grace – Food Shop
Lily – Equipment Shop
Élise – Clothing Shop
Until now, it was hard to tell what kind of weapon an ally or enemy was using. Now, the character info window will display the weapon type each unit is equipped with.
Previously, food and drinks could only be obtained from tutorials or mission rewards. Now, you can purchase them at the food shop! From simple cup noodles to premium sushi, a variety of items are available for purchase.
Steam post imageWhile full AI behavior logic is still in development, NPCs will now take cover more effectively and move more dynamically during battles.
Camera movement speed will no longer increase when playing at 2x speed. Also, game speed will soon be controlled via a dedicated speed option (like The Sims 3 or SimCity) instead of holding the Space Bar. No need to keep pressing Space anymore!
Item info windows will now include text explanations describing what each stat means.
That’s all for this update! These notes cover features and fixes that will be implemented soon, especially those based on your most requested feedback.
Thank you as always for playing our game, and please check out the official RedDawn Twitter for more updates!
