Patch 0.18 - New Character, New Enemies, New Shop

Eman the Rogue joins the battle! A brand new character, with new cards, some new elements and some old ones!

This patch is focused around building up the 3-character dynamic, now allowing for different teams to be built each run. It also revampes the main way you gain cards, including a rework to the copper-economy and enabling more player agency.

In this update, we have focused on the following:

  • 3rd Character Eman, is now available for play once you have beaten her.

  • New enemies have been added to the map & some old ones slightly reworked

  • All bosses have been reworked and rebalanced. Now have realistic builds and are much more challenging.

  • Adjusted base difficulty slightly up, while offering more player choice and power to compensate.

  • Shop has been reworked to show more cards, and now every map has a shop at the end.

  • Card upgrade system reworked, and now go way higher!

Patch Notes 0.18:

--- Eman the Rogue: --- Fully implemented as playable character. Currently has 40 brand new cards. New items and new elements added to her. Unlock by beating her with one of the other characters. Now many different team combinations are available between the three!

--- New Enemies & Difficulty & Bosses: --- Added the Broken Droid enemy, a dangerous enemy which punishes aggressive builds. Slightly reworked and rebalanced various enemies, to counter a myriad of strategies. All Bosses have been reworked and rebalanced. Now each boss has realistic builds that other players have used at some point! Final boss now contains a combination of two characters, with different builds & strategies.

--- Shop Rework: --- Moleman shopkeeper is now a frequent visitor on your journey! Each map now ends with a Shop, and the economy has been rebalanced more around purchasing cards. Currently this new system is still in early testing, but the main golds of the system are: - Show players more cards at the same time, rewarding more perceptive players. - Give players more agency in when to spend their copper, and when to see more cards - Primarily give players cards through opt-in, rather than force. You choose when to buy. - Allow for resource-dumping, when the player is in trouble and needs an instant power-spike.

--- Card Upgrades & drafts: --- All cards now scale way more with level. And level 1 card values reduced significantly. All cards now have 5 levels (up from 3). Upgraded cards are now randomly shown in the shop. Cards from all your Heroes are shown in both shop and drafts, so you can pick which fits best.
