Version 1.4.3

The GPS+IR tool now has a blueprint that can be found in world and crafted, running into NPCs and other players has a ragdoll knockback effect, and weapons have been rebalanced so they work a bit more like they do in real life. This plus bug fixes and multiple quality of life fixes are in the game now.

New

  • GPS+IR tool — a new craftable tool that reveals nearby enemies on your minimap.

  • Find the blueprint out in the world, and collect the items to craft this new gadget!

Weapons

  • Rebalanced damage over distance — close-range and shotgun hits now hit harder, with steeper damage falloff at long range.

  • Realistic effective ranges — each weapon type now has a sensible maximum range, from short-range SMGs and shotguns up to long-range sniper rifles. Shots past a weapon’s effective range won’t connect.

Vehicles

  • Ram knockback — ramming a player or NPC now sends them flying; they’ll ragdoll and get back up if they survive the hit.

Quality of Life

  • Chat box resizing and repositioning is much more fluid, and the box now always stays on-screen (resolution changes shouldn’t make it disappear/lead off screen).

  • Crafting completion popup now shows the item you crafted — icon, name, and hover tooltip.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash that could occur while traveling or streaming into the world.

  • Fixed enemies briefly appearing as giant, stretched figures.

  • Fixed enemies sinking through sidewalks in Seaside City.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur with the M4A1 and its attachments.

  • Fixed whispers not sending or being received correctly.
