Swap Characters Mid-Level!

  • You can now level up and switch characters during a run!

  • Find campfires scattered around the realm to swap to unlocked characters.

  • Character unlocks are based on level thresholds with prerequisite classes.

  • Example – Want to play as the Knight? Start the level as a Squire, reach Level 10, and switch to Knight (after purchased) at a campfire. Or: Reach Level 30 as a Knight once to unlock it as a starting class permanently!

  • Top-tier classes like Druid and Viking require multiple prerequisites, but they can also be unlocked as starters once you hit Level 30 with them.

Class Abilities Reworked

  • Each class now has 3 unique active abilities.

  • Advanced classes can use and level up abilities from their prerequisite class.

  • Prerequisite classes can’t upgrade advanced class abilities (but can still use if previously unlocked).

(e.g. Squire can’t level up Knight skills, but Knight can upgrade Squire skills.)

7 New Abilities!

Ranger

  • Bear Trap – Traps and damages enemies.

  • Seeking Arrow – Hits an enemy, then seeks another target.

Wizard

  • Ice Storm (Ultimate) – Slows, freezes, and heavily damages enemies. Evolves from Icebolt.

Priestess

  • Martyr’s Fire – Holy damage-over-time that scales with your health regen.

Viking

  • Leeching Strikes – Increased crit chance with each hit; crits heal you.

  • Berserker’s Rhythm – Reduces cooldowns with each hit; resets when you miss.

Druid

  • Seismic Shield – Earth shield that stuns and damages on contact.

Balance & System Updates

  • Knight: Blood Rage now evolves from Heavy Strike (was Ground Slam).

  • Viking: Brutal Strikes now evolves from Ground Slam (was Heavy Strike).

  • Poison Cloud moved from Wizard to Druid.

New Quests & Unlocks

15 new quests added!

  • 6 Character Starting Role Unlocks – unlock advanced classes to start with.

  • 9 Ability Unlock Quests – includes the new skills plus Wisp and Pommel from the last update.

  • New Character Progression Chart added to show unlock paths.

UI & Quality of Life

  • Character level now shows in the UI (active character only for now).

  • Updated stat calculations for better scaling and clarity.

  • UI navigation improved for new windows.

  • Known Issue: On controller/Steam Deck, some quest windows may not close properly. You can fix this by hitting Back or toggling the menu window.

  • A full UI overhaul is in the works for a future update!

Thanks so much for playing! Let us know what you think of the new character progression and mid-run class swap system—we’re excited to keep improving it based on your feedback.

See you in the realm!
