What changed
- Gameplay
After a week of extensive experimentation, we’ve decided to make significant changes to the game’s progression system.
In a previous post, I mentioned that players were struggling to stay engaged with the late-game content, often dropping out early. To address this, we ran numerous tests and pinpointed the issue: the game’s pacing.
The spawn and portal rooms at the beginning and end of each node weren’t contributing meaningfully to the experience, so we’ve decided to remove them from all combat nodes. Additionally, we’re breaking down and reorganizing several systems:
Demonblood: Removed
DemonCoin: Removed
Quests, Rune Pages: Removed
Memory Shards: Removed
Certain tactics features: Removed
With these adjustments, we aim to streamline the gameplay and enhance the overall pacing. Next week, we’ll share more details, along with videos and screenshots to give you a closer look at the progress.
