Repeated intro
Hello Everyone, Welcome to the first RangBi developper update.

Starting today, we'll aim to share weekly updates about RangBi’s development, our direction for the game, and what new features are in the works. Most updates, like today, will include fresh screenshots of upcoming features, and occasionally we’ll drop some video content as well.
Demo Release
First and foremost, we're thrilled to announce that the RangBi demo has been officially released on Steam! After nearly eight months of development, the game is now available to the public.
For us at the RangBi team, this is our first public release, and we’ve learned so much from it. While there were plenty of positives—such as receiving more players and data than expected—we’ve also noticed some challenges. Many of you mentioned that the early game can feel confusing or difficult to grasp, leading some players to quit before reaching the "fun" parts of the game.
Runes & Quests
One of the major changes we’re working on is revamping the item and quest systems. In the current demo, items can be confusing since they sometimes upgrade character stats and other times boost skills. Additionally, some items are locked behind particularly difficult quests, making it almost impossible to unlock related features.
We’re addressing this by introducing Rune Pages. While quests will remain (in fact, a lot more will be added), they’ll now reward Rune Points based on difficulty. Players will then use these Rune Points to upgrade characters, much like skill trees in traditional RPGs.
We hope that this will clear up the item-quest confusion and add more depth to RangBi combat.
Early game changes
We’ve heard your feedback on the early game, and we agree—changes are on the way! Based on player tests and data, we see that players enjoy the game once they understand its mechanics. However, the lack of a strong early-game hook means that many players don’t stick around long enough to experience the real fun.
To address this, we’re working on adding early-game story elements and immersive content that will engage players beyond just combat. This will give players more to explore and enjoy while they naturally learn RangBi's robust combat system.
Plus, we will change that starting screen too, it is long overdue.
That’s all for this week’s update. Stay tuned for more, and as always, feel free to reach out to us via Discord or email. We love hearing feedback from players and are always eager to improve the game based on your suggestions!
