Raccoons to Riches changes
Hi everyone! Today's patch notes are here, for one last pre-launch update before the full launch of the game on Monday! I've been hard at work making some last-minute tweaks so that you'll have a good time with the game. There are a chunk of minor gameplay updates in this patch, many of which are buffs for a few tactics I found to underperform a bit in playtesting (especially for trash-focused strategies). There are also a few mostly text-based changes to improve effect clarity for a few tactics and tooltips. Finally, there are a bunch of small edge cases I've been able to track down and smooth out to prevent a few confusing scenarios/rare softlocks. It's been so fun making this game, and I really hope that if you decide to buy it, you'll have fun playing it. Please look forward to the full release on Monday, July 20th! See you in the shop. Here are the full patch notes:
v1.0.1 - "Last-Minute Tidying"
----
New Keyword: Transformed: A number of card mechanics referenced Transforming cards. so now there's a Transformed Keyword with an appropriate tooltip explaining it. Items that get Transformed get this Keyword applied to them.
Gameplay: The Forgetful Enchanter will now pay double for Transformed Items. Maybe he's studying them. (A buff to improve the enchanter, and it opens up a neat niche build probably)
- GameplayUpdated Free Sample to convince for a random item type if you used an item with no item types instead of always Food (usually when using trash)
- GameplayReworked/Buffed the Salvage Materials tactic. Now only discards Trash in hand, so you can keep your trash, but also exhausts itself when played. This should be an overall buff to the trash deck, since you won't run out of trash as quickly if you rely on this tactic.
Gameplay: Buffed the the Demand Purchase tactic to be a bit more intuitive to use. Now costs 0 Patience to play, so playing it on a customer on 1 Patience doesn't make them leave your shop.
- GameplayUpdated a number of Tactics to not be playable if they would have no effect (to avoid a few feelbad moments)
- GameplayReworked Storewide Sale Now adds the 25$/previously sold item to the sale price before customer preference calculations (previously added a flat $25 per item after all other calculations)
Gameplay: Turn to Slag now adds the generated Trash items to your Stockpile. (another buff for certain trash-focused strategies)
Gameplay: Buffed All That Glitters: Now adds $50/$75 in value to Trash, instead of just setting their value to $50/$75
- GameplayBuffed the Garbage Day motto to add the Easy Sale to the Trash it Generates. Increased the Patience Cost of the motto from 1 -> 2 (0 -> 1 Upgraded)
Gameplay: Buffed the Dirt Cheap motto to add $25 of value to trash sales per stack of Dirt Cheap. Also, renamed it to "Dirt! Cheap?"
RNG: Customers' Item for Sale now uses the CustomerRNG seed instead of being totally random
UI: Easy Sale Items now pop up that they are speedy to sell during the sale calculation text animations, and show a patience change of "-0", similar to other patience losses from item sales
- UIUpdated the icon for the Garbage Day status to be the rotten apple icon
UI: Effects that "tutor" for a card out of Today's Goods now show some popup text on resolution if they fail to find any valid options
- BugfixFixed a softlock that could occur when using Salvage Materials with no non-trash Items in hand. (This tactic is now only playable if you have trash and one other item in hand)
- BugfixFixed incorrect text on Bizarre Bazaar. It now specifies that you only discard the Items in your hand, and not your whole hand.
- BugfixFixed Trash to Treasure only picking from a few expensive items instead of all expensive items
- BugfixFixed an edge case with rummaging cards that could cause some cards to not be drawn when also re-shuffling your stockpile as a result of the rummage
- BugfixFixed a softlock and some strange discard pile behaviour related to the Market Research tactic finding no valid options
- BugfixFixed player statuses (and probably a few other subtle things) persisting if you quit the game without saving during a market day
- BugfixFixed a Snack Break's explainer text during card selection showing an untranslated string constant
- BugfixFixed Rearrange Shelves not properly exhausting itself
- TextUpdated the tooltip for the All That Glitters status to display the correct new value of Trash
- TextUpdated the tooltip and text for the Storewide Sale tacic/status
- TextAdded a few missing tooltip titles for some player statuses
- TextClarified and added reminder text to the Elevator Pitch tactic.
Text: Clarified the text for the All That Glitters motto.
- TextUpdated items transformed with Trash to Treasure to show that they are indeed temporary.
- TextUpdated Trash created by the Garbage Day status to show that they are temporary.
- MiscUpdated Omni Potion to be Rare (was Uncommon)
