How learning shapes progression

Today I’d like to share more about one of the central systems in Quiz Hero Chinese Numbers: the Magic Book. 📚✨

Kai receives the Magic Book near the beginning of the adventure, but it is much more than a simple item.

It grows with him.

As Kai finds Magic Scrolls, new Chinese numbers are added to the quiz system. This means that the player’s learning expands together with the adventure.

The Magic Book is also strengthened through Maps and Schemes, special collections connected to exploration, puzzles, and discovery across Aetheria.

I wanted progression in Quiz Hero Chinese Numbers to feel connected to learning itself.

Not only battles. Not only levels. Not only equipment.

Discovery, memory, curiosity, and knowledge all become part of how Kai grows.

For me, this is one of the most important ideas behind the game: learning should not feel like a pause between adventures.

It should be part of the adventure.

Step by step, the Magic Book becomes a record of Kai’s journey through Aetheria — a journey shaped by curiosity, exploration, and the desire to understand the world.
