We've tweaked and fixed some bugs you pointed out in the bug report forum on Discord, social media and reviews. Thank you for that.

Some of these reports suggested balancing issues that we have since reworked. To us, one of the fun parts of Pyrene is that you can "break the game" by being extra greedy and accumulating a ridiculous amount of modifiers through the cards, relics and more. We still want this to be possible but now it'll be more difficult to achieve!

That being said:

You can now play 1.01 in the "Testing" branch of Steam! The testing branch is kind of like a test server where you can play a version of the game that includes fixes and tweaks before being officially patched and sent out to everyone. The preliminary changelog is in Discord but we'll post an official Steam news update to annonce the patch + post the entire changelog tomorrow or Wednesday. If you want to see the changelog ahead of time. please feel free to join our Discord and share your thoughts so we're sure everything works fine and we can make it go live asap!

How to access the BETA?

  • Go to your library

  • Right-click on the Pyrene app

  • Select "Properties"

  • Then go to the "Betas" section

  • Select "testing - Branch made for testing new changes" and close the window to launch the update.
