PURE FUCKING RAGE changes

PFR Dev Update: The second Public Test Demo build! Though more of a hotfix update if I’m being honest.
This update mostly focuses on bug fixes and updating art assets! I wanted to improve the early game a little as I know how hard it is to gain blood and new weapons so I have bumped the starting blood from 10,000 to 15,000 and added 3 new light class weapons to help start people out!
What’s New?
Added the MAX 10, The Shorty, and the Geretta!
Added brand new skill Darkosser Wings! Grants the ability to fly for a short duration!
Added brand new Indev Map! River Walk!
- Gave the Offerings new art assets! (NOTESome are still unfinished and will be updated soon!)
- Gave the Skills new art assets! (NOTESome are still unfinished and will be updated soon!)
Added a new feature where clicking the right mouse button zooms in the camera for improved aiming.
Minor Additions:
Buffed the God Mode Powerup to last 30 seconds instead of 15 seconds.
Increased the range the Sentry Gun could see enemies.
Removed the fire delay entirely from the sidearm pistol. You can now fire it as fast as you can shoot it.
Added a laser beam to the Windup Gun!
Buffed the Windup Gun’s magazine to increase with ammo pool!
The Armory and Shrine now properly shows an item has been purchased on the selection button the moment you purchase it!
Increased starting blood from 10,000 to 15,000!
Added a nice new sparks particle effect to lights when you smash them.
Adjusted the spawns of Powerups.
Made dodgeballs a little more bouncy.
Updated Skill Descriptions to be a little more readable.
Increased the Gravity scale to make jumping feel less floaty
Reduced the Grenade Explosion Delay to 1 second down from 2 seconds.
AI enemies can now see player minions.
Added background noise to AR_Underground and the main menu!
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an Issue where AI wouldn’t properly aim at the player.
Fixed an Issue where The Dealer would continue to pursue the player even though he is in phase 2.
Fixed an Issue where AI would keep shooting when the player died.
Fixed an Issue where the sentry gun would fire out multiple erratic shots.
Fixed an Issue where the sentry gun would have erratic focus, now they will focus on the closest enemy to them.
Fixed an Issue with the Minigun just straight up randomly disappearing if it goes slightly off camera.
Fixed an Issue when killing the Dealer when they aren’t in phase 2 would cause the backup AI to spawn at world center, causing errors.
Fixed an issue where spamming fire on the Windup Gun caused animation errors.
Fixed an issue with the out of bounds box not killing enemies.
Fixed some issues with AI sight sensing.
Excited to get this update out! It took a little while but I am still happy with the progress of the game! I’d like to have smaller content updates between larger updates but I may just stick to gradually pushing new content and fixes out in smaller condensed updates. They still don’t have a set schedule, though I’d at least like to make them Bi-monthly, but if I’m able to at least push an update then I’m gonna go ahead and do it! Now a general more in depth overview.

New Weapons!
Coming into this update is the MAX-10, Geratta and the Shorty! Each one is a light weapon and extremely cheap. I wanted to add more options for newer players, just so they can have more things to play with during the early game. Before it felt a little rough to collect blood sometimes just to be able to purchase a new weapon, and 9 times out of 10 was the Technique-8 that players bought. So hopefully over the coming months I’ll be able to add more weapon variety to make things a little less frustrating to deal with!
New Skill! Darkosser Wings!
It has been a long time since I added a new skill, I’ve been mostly focused on adding other content that I’ve neglected to focus on skills! Despite it being one skill, It does add a unique mechanic that I think people will enjoy quite a lot! Introducing Darkosser Wings! A skill that allows you to fly for a short duration! Double tapping the jump button while in the air allows you to fly high above your enemies and rain bullets down on them from above!
New Indev Map! Riverwalk!
Once again attempting a much bigger map, this one is a little flat with large sightlines. Running through the middle is a river you can walk down towards to get out of enemy fire. Along the edges of the map are alleyways where players can also dip into in order to avoid enemy fire! I’m still trying to find the better mapping philosophy for PFR right now, I like the Arena type maps that feel like something out of old school arena shooters, but sometimes they can feel a little small and constricted. If people like the more open maps, I’ll focus more on them. If people want more Arena type maps, I'll focus more heavily on those.
Updated Art Assets!
Noticed how the skills had a lot of missing icons and used a basic skill icon or how the offerings were just simple cubes? This update brings new art assets for a handful of skills and offerings! I haven’t finished all of them but I decided to include them with this update as I have been sharing these over the last month! I will continue to update all missing art over the next few updates!
Final Notes
This update is really just a hotfix update with some new goodies thrown in for good measure! I am still working on the storyline, trying to get that functional while I work on the main systems of the game. I can’t give an ETA on the prologue being dropped as it’s been a struggle to get some things working. But rest assured, I will continue to drop content updates bringing new content and toys for you to play with! I even have some more updates lined up that flesh out the game a little more loaded in the chamber, I ain’t going nowhere anytime soon!
