💥 New Background FX

We’ve added two brand-new FX commands to the level editor:

Stab FX delivers sharp, rhythmic bursts of light synced to beats or accents, perfect for high-energy sections and percussion-heavy tracks.

Shard FX sends fragments flying toward or away from the player’s shape, adding a dramatic sense of motion and tension. These can be used subtly or aggressively, depending on the mood of the level.

Both FX can be layered with existing effects like Ring and Cross Light for even more dynamic visuals.

New Shape Type: Delayed Shapes

Delayed Shapes introduce a more puzzle-like approach to rhythm gameplay. These shapes don’t activate immediately—they can be delayed up to 8 beats, forcing players to keep track of future threats while handling current ones. This mechanic rewards planning, memory, and rhythm awareness rather than pure reaction speed.

🎵 Vol. 4 Begins

v1.5 introduces Vol. 4, adding six new official songs that explore Delayed Shapes and the new FX systems. Difficulties vary across the pack, culminating in a Master-level finale that blends puzzle mechanics with high-intensity rhythm play.

🔓 New Progression System: Unlock Song Packs

Level unlocking has been reworked. Instead of unlocking individual levels, you now unlock entire song packs at once. This streamlines progression, gives clearer goals, and makes each unlock feel more rewarding.

🛡️ New Safety & Creator Modes

We’ve added two new optional modes to better support different audiences:

Child Mode Blocks access to custom levels and explicit songs, creating a safer, curated experience.

Streamer Mode Automatically disables copyrighted content, helping streamers and content creators avoid copyright issues while recording or streaming.

🧰 Level Editor Update Status

The revamped level editor originally planned for this update has been delayed. We want to make sure it’s solid, intuitive, and worth the wait. More details soon.

v1.5 continues to grow Pulsagon into a more flexible, creative, and player-friendly rhythm game—whether you’re here to master impossible patterns, build community levels, or just vibe safely to the beat.

Thanks for sticking with us and shaping Pulsagon’s future.
