Repeated intro

Hello everybody!

What changed

1 fix1 addition1 change1 removal
  • UI and audio
  • Gameplay
removedDisabled Permadeath setting as the default. Ultimately, this feature was an experiment that seems to have not panned out as well as I’d have liked, but it can still be toggled in the settings menu!
addedAdded Audio Mixing to the settings menu. You can now independently adjust vocal, music, ambient, and SFX volume.
changedChanged clue visuals for Act I clock puzzle. The puzzle is effectively unchanged, and the solution remains the same, but some clues have just been written out in a different way with some symbols swapped
fixedFixed minor collision issue in Act III

I'm still working hard every day to make sure that Project Songbird is the very best it can be, and with that is a few patches to the game in the latest update, version 1.0.8!

The changes include:

  • Disabled Permadeath setting as the default. Ultimately, this feature was an experiment that seems to have not panned out as well as I’d have liked, but it can still be toggled in the settings menu!

  • Added Audio Mixing to the settings menu. You can now independently adjust vocal, music, ambient, and SFX volume.

  • Changed clue visuals for Act I clock puzzle. The puzzle is effectively unchanged, and the solution remains the same, but some clues have just been written out in a different way with some symbols swapped

  • Fixed minor collision issue in Act III

I am also currently investigating getting cloud saves up and running. The current save system isn't compatible with cloud saves, so getting this working is going to require a change in how saving is being handled on PC. Definitely doable, but it'll require a lot of thorough testing, so hopefully we can see that in a future update soon!

Also, I have seen a few reports of people saying that the clock puzzle in Act I is soft locked, but I have been unable to recreate this on my end, and I've yet to see any footage to conclude that a soft lock is actually happening. If anybody is encountering a block at this point in the game, and can provide any media of this soft lock occurring, it would be much appreciated, and maybe help me deduce the issue if its present!

With all of that said, thank you so much for all of the amazing messages and feedback, and I'm going to head back to work. Until next time!
