February 2025 - Developer Log

What's up guys! This time, I've got a really short but important announcement for the month of February, so forgive me if this post is rather small on content!

changedDespite that, I've been pushing the project forward till now with my own personal funds, and it seems it will continue to stay that way until we receive more support soon. In light of recent events, I've decided to get up and get a full-time job to support both myself and the project at the moment. This will subtract away from the time I have to develop, but it has not doused my passion for game-dev, nor has slowed down my thirst for knowledge as I pursue a career in this field.
addedFrom this month on, you can expect at least anywhere between 1-3 major/minor patches or updates per month, with new content always on the horizon. I simply no longer have the time to make countless back to back updates with hotfixes in order to satiate my inner perfectionist. Don't be upset, as per drawing new folk to the project, our funds may increase once again, and I may be able to work on this full-time once again in the near future.
addedWith that out of the way, what I've been working on since new years, with the time I've had to develop, is a new character customizer. From the last devlog, I've created new meshes, clothing, animations, and combat-animations(for future releases). This will allow me to setup the new data profiles as well, for optimizing how player appearances are sent over the net.
addedSoon after I've completed the new customizer, I will release that in update v0.0.4A as a standalone update by itself for more compatibility with coming updates for adding all the new content in store for the start of 'S0' or season zero of official play. This has all been tied together as a string in a line of updates to better prepare for stable networking and content pipelining that has been planned for. Also hair & jiggle physics have been implemented successfully during this time! This will be shown in another post however.

addedThat's all there is to it for now, without these features, I cannot continue with the newly planned content, so I am trying to get them in the live version asap. After this update, I have plans to add better control over snowboarding, more maps, crafting, gathering, and combat for added enjoyment in the world. You may see an update later on this month on the Steam version of the game, so be on the lookout! But until then, I'll see you next time.

What's up guys! This time, I've got a really short but important announcement for the month of February, so forgive me if this post is rather small on content! I'll lay out for you all whats currently going on with P:SB & other news. So buckle up, it's dev time!

First of all, I'd like to say that my IRL situation has not been exactly smooth during the past development time. With no sponsor, nor supporter over the current time of development (besides the input from other sources I live off of), this game and service is completely under-funded. The game itself has not received any funds since its inception or launch (mostly my fault), besides the kickstarter, but that was never released to the company, nor myself.

Despite that, I've been pushing the project forward till now with my own personal funds, and it seems it will continue to stay that way until we receive more support soon. In light of recent events, I've decided to get up and get a full-time job to support both myself and the project at the moment.
