Project_0: A Favour changes
More settings added a lot of improvments to the game. Not only did it make it more playable with different optimizations, it also made it more fun by adding collectibles and achivements! What's next?
I'm hard at work on the next big update of the game, i like to call the: Lifes great? Update. This update will focus primarally on making the game easier to enjoy and improving quality of life, with visual improvements and reducing according to me "boringness" in some parts. Not only that but it will also bring new features taking it one step closer to being on par with other games out there. This update contains a lot of changes. I would say that it’s bigger than the more settings update containing a lot of new features but also fixes. Here are some of the many changes I’m doing.
Big changes!
Big changes has been made to the overall game experience, removing unnecessary bits and making it more engaging. Like for example removing much of the dialogue and shortening the intro, from a total length of 1:24 to an astonishing 20 seconds while even communicating more information.
The underlying story has been weaved into the game more, I won’t tell you much about it since I want you to explore it. But I will say that the story is much more present in the whole atmosphere of the game.
Important FIXES!
There are a couple of big bug fixes in this update. Here are some that have been resolved upp to date.
Fixed and issue that made the player charakter not able to move when loading the level Rock Room from the main menu.
Fixed an issue that made it impossible to choose a level in the level chooser since the buttons didn't react.
Say hi to Benny!
Say hi to Benny! He is a beginning to a little robot assistant, right now he is just there, helping you to choose puzzles, keep track of your scores and look cute. Some of the menus will be accesable through Benny, like the level chooser and the achievements menu, this is to make the world feel more alive. The image above is from the testing level i created where i test all of my systems befor implementing them into the game. It's a screenshot of a testing version of Benny. In this world I test all of my systems before implementing them into the game, including a very scary one.
Life's not that easy anymore
A system that is under developments when writing this focuses on the player, literally. IT focuses on the player. It moves around and will be following you and giving you nightmares if you spot it.
When will this be released?
For now the deadline is set to March 4:th 2024 but that will most likely not be hit, the real release date will be announced when the update is about 90% done. So stay tuned!!
