Repeated intro
Greetings, space-explorers. The Transgalactic Bloc for Bringing Back the Word "Cyber" has cyber-stolen our code and injected the following updates:
What changed
- Gameplay
- Balance
Things are fine. It's fine
You can now get onto the snack dispenser
The coin minigame is now sort of skill-based. Sort of. Like, you still can have bad luck and end up with few coins. But the more coins you make, the more coins you get to potentially make. So if you get a little lucky, you'll make a ton of coins, but you can still pretend it was only hard work that got you there.
Platforms now have a chance to contain goodies
You can no longer operate the snack dispenser from high above or below it
New snacks have been stocked
Platforms no longer appear in unreachable places
The beer tutorial no longer contains unhelpful prompts (I think)
The menu colors have been slightly adjusted to make it more readable for people who have challenges in the eye or display departments, or both
The cursor is now visible when the window is not active
Alt+Enter (the Windows hotkey to put applications into fullscreen mode) will no longer trigger the use/menu select actions
There is now a progress loss warning when you quit, although I don't know why you would quit
Quitting now sends you back to the main menu
The floating ship should no longer make you go, "What is this? Is this a space crab?"
Finnegan is now 10% more rare. To appear, not cooked, you monster!
Some effects have been slightly improved
I would also like to say a word of thanks for all the positive reception since launch. We only have a few thousand players, but there's a lot of love and passion in the community hub. In this dopamine-post-apocalypse, it is humbling to think my small game could capture your attention and maybe inspiration.
You are awesome!
If you still hunger for more Procrastinaut, I am currently working on partnering up with some independent artists to bring you some fresh, affordable, ethically unquestionable merch items. Hopefully, before the year is out, you can show off to all your friends and colleagues that you played indie games well after it became cool.
Now go hang out with the Procrastinaut. Or maybe later. He'll understand.
