changedHello Primateria Community! We know it’s been a while, but we’re thrilled to finally bring you the next major update. After taking your feedback and doing extensive research on what to prioritize, we’ve focused on delivering the most requested features. We hope this update makes your gameplay even more enjoyable!
addedDaily Deck FeatureIntroducing the Daily Deck challenge! Players can now take on a new player deck every day. Each daily deck will be selected from the decks that beat the challenge from the previous day. Beating the Daily Deck also unlocks a new mode where you can battle against random decks from other players.
addedZone LockingFor the daily deck feature, following your feedback on our playtests regarding first-turn kills (FTKs) and one-turn kills (OTKs) being too common, we've introduced a zone locking mechanic to balance early game advantage. Both players now start with 3 locked zones, leaving only 2 zones available. At the start of each turn (except the first turn of each player), one locked zone is unlocked. This change helps prevent early game domination while still allowing for strategic fusion plays without overwhelming first turns. It also evens the playing field for the player going first, as they will always be the first to unlock new zones, while the second player has the advantage of being the first to attack.
addedRedesigned Attack ExperienceBased on your feedback, we’ve reworked the attack experience to make it smoother and more intuitive, especially for new players. You can now attack using drag-and-drop, click individually, or a mix of both. We’ve also added a new prompt asking if you want to enter the battle phase when dragging your cards to the opponent's.
addedKeyword Tool TipsAnother highly requested feature — keyword tool tips are now available when you hover over cards, displaying detailed descriptions of each keyword. If you prefer a cleaner UI, this feature can be disabled from the options menu.
addedArtwork ContestDuring the SuperXP 2024 event in Joinville, we held a special challenge where players who beat the challenge run had the opportunity to collaborate with our artist @DuckArtisan (please follow him on Instagram!) to create their own custom card artwork. With dozens of sketches made and over 400 votes cast, the top 3 designs were selected and transformed into custom artwork for cards in the game. These unique player-created artworks are now available, and we’re excited to announce that 2 more winning designs will be featured in the next update!

Hello Primateria Community!

We know it’s been a while, but we’re thrilled to finally bring you the next major update. After taking your feedback and doing extensive research on what to prioritize, we’ve focused on delivering the most requested features. We hope this update makes your gameplay even more enjoyable!

Here’s what’s new:

Daily Deck Feature

Introducing the Daily Deck challenge! Players can now take on a new player deck every day. Each daily deck will be selected from the decks that beat the challenge from the previous day. Beating the Daily Deck also unlocks a new mode where you can battle against random decks from other players.

Zone Locking

For the daily deck feature, following your feedback on our playtests regarding first-turn kills (FTKs) and one-turn kills (OTKs) being too common, we've introduced a zone locking mechanic to balance early game advantage.

Redesigned Attack Experience

Based on your feedback, we’ve reworked the attack experience to make it smoother and more intuitive, especially for new players. You can now attack using drag-and-drop, click individually, or a mix of both. We’ve also added a new prompt asking if you want to enter the battle phase when dragging your cards to the opponent's.

Keyword Tool Tips

Another highly requested feature — keyword tool tips are now available when you hover over cards, displaying detailed descriptions of each keyword. If you prefer a cleaner UI, this feature can be disabled from the options menu.

Artwork Contest

During the SuperXP 2024 event in Joinville, we held a special challenge where players who beat the challenge run had the opportunity to collaborate with our artist @DuckArtisan (please follow him on Instagram!) to create their own custom card artwork. With dozens of sketches made and over 400 votes cast, the top 3 designs were selected and transformed into custom artwork for cards in the game. These unique player-created artworks are now available, and we’re excited to announce that 2 more winning designs will be featured in the next update!

Steam Community Items

We’ve also added new Steam Community items to enhance your Primateria experience! You can now unlock and collect:

  • 6 Trading Cards

  • 5 Emoticons

  • Badges for Level 1-5 and the Foil Badge

  • 3 Profile Backgrounds

Show off your progress and customize your profile with these new items while playing the game!

Additional Updates

  • A range of new micro-feedback has been added for actions like trying to attack the deck directly or playing high-level cards without fusing, helping new players understand mechanics better.

  • Improved AI behavior for a more challenging experience.

  • New artwork for 3 cards, additional to the 3 from our community artwork contest!

  • Minor card effect changes to improve synergies and overall game balance.

  • As always, we’ve fixed multiple bugs and made several performance improvements.

Final Notes

We’re also very excited to share that we have some BIG news coming in the next update —
