New Features

Friend Count Tier System

  • A tier system has been introduced where your icon evolves in stages based on the number of Steam friends using Poua with you.

  • Enjoy watching your icon grow through various shapes, such as circles, triangles, and diamonds, based on your friend count (1 to 150).

Focus Timer Expanded to 180 Minutes (3 Hours)

  • The maximum focus timer duration has been increased from 100 minutes to 180 minutes (3 hours).

  • You can now use Poua for long-duration test preparations like TOEIC or IELTS.

Weekly/Monthly Total Focus Time on Statistics Screen

  • You can now see your total focus time for the current week and month at a glance on the statistics screen.

  • Monthly totals are displayed on the heatmap, and weekly totals are shown in the weekly statistics.

Blink Animation ON/OFF Setting

  • An option to toggle the character's eye-blinking animation on or off has been added to the settings.

  • This is a custom setting for those who found the blinking distracting.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Slightly adjusted the Leaderboard UI.

  • Fixed an issue where Chinese fonts were corrupted in certain UI elements.

Developer's Note

Focusing is usually easier with friends than doing it alone, so we added a small social progression feature for people using Poua together.

As more Steam friends focus together, your icon changes into different shapes. It starts as a circle and gradually evolves into higher tiers, eventually reaching a diamond shape. You can see everyone's current tier on the leaderboard.

The highest tier requires 150 people. This was inspired by "Dunbar's Number", the idea that humans can maintain around 150 stable social relationships. I wonder if anyone will eventually reach the final icon tier.
