Repeated intro
Hey there, a couple of days ago i released the 1.0 update of Portal Defect. While 1.0 in name there is still work to be done and things to improve.
What changed

- Performance
- Gameplay
most updates in 1.0 are related to mechanics, AI and level design.
Also i adjusted the price of the game as i found the previous price point a bit much in retrospective for the first serious game i developed and i found it now to reflect the game better as a snack for in between :P and for what it was intended.
As a Solo and first time dev there are a few challenges that i will try to address soon with the help of some more experienced devs who just offered there help, most notably:
-Performance: while the game works fine for the most part and have been improved in that regard by me already there are still here and there some framerate drops that i so far cant seem to find the reason for. Hopefully will be fixed with the next patch to improve a smooth playing experience.
-Size: while there are many objects and environments in the game 20 gb is still a tiny bit much and i hope to reduce the size of the final game by a bit.
-While the game is and was always intended as a game without much story and mostly as a quick play for in between i will still try to add somewhat of a storyline in future updates to at least round out the experience a bit.
Its a project i love working on and started during times of corona, it has its kinks and flaws but i try to address them one at a time, so every feedback is welcome may it be negative or positive. (rest assured i read them all and while i might not be able to respond to them all there are all collected and considered)
