A Huge Thank You for All Your Feedback This Past Month! We Heard You!
It’s been a whole month since the Poradora vs Monsters of the World demo launched! Some of you love the challenge while others found it so frustrating you may or may not have rage-quit. Either way, we’ve been listening, reading, and making notes in between crying over your brutally honest feedback. 😂
So guess what? Changes have been made! We're striving for that sweet middle ground where fun meets "I can actually beat this." Here’s what’s new:
- D-Pad Support!
Yes, we admit it—we goofed big time. D-pad support was glaringly absent, but now you can enjoy pixel-perfect precision while controlling Poradora. Go ahead, flex those thumbs!
- Boss Battle Tweaks!
We heard you
the first-stage boss went full Dark Souls on you, and that wasn’t cool.
Now
The boss attacks one at a time with rest breaks in between, no more spamming attacks back to back!
Stomp attacks won't crush you if you're chilling on the flying platform.
And the hitbox for its head is smaller—you got more room to jump now!
- Knockback? Toned Down!
Remember that Castlevania-style knockback where one tiny hit sent you flying into the void like Team Rocket blasting off again? Yeah, that’s gone. No more dying in the flying platforms section; you’ve got a real fighting chance now!
- Invincibility Frames Boosted!
Getting smacked around like a pinball between projectiles wasn’t fun (for you or us watching playtest videos). Damage invincibility is now 1.3 seconds instead of 1.0. That extra 0.3 seconds is for your sanity.
- Wall Jump Fixes!
We’ve all been there: you’re trying to wall-jump like a ninja, but oops—you pressed the wrong direction and fell. Not anymore! Now, Poradora will cling to walls even if your fingers betray you. If you DO want to slide down, just press the down button. Easy peasy!
- No More Crashes!
The bug causing mini-boss battles to crash? Squashed. Gone. Sent to the shadow realm. Your boss fights will now proceed crash-free.
- We’re on Steam event!
