This version features some additions to Gauntlet mode, some audiovisual changes such as more animations and sound effects, and lots of bugfixes. However, I am most excited to announce that online multiplayer is now live on the beta branch of the game!
Accessing Online Multiplayer
There are two ways to access online multiplayer:
Launch the game, go to "PLAY" and select "Online." The game will give you the option to automatically switch to the beta branch. Select "Yes" and restart the game.
Find Polymino in your Steam library, right click it (or select the gear icon in Big Picture/SteamOS), select Properties, then the Betas tab, and choose the "beta" branch from the drop-down menu.
Changelog
Gauntlet Changes
Each time a round is cleared, it is unlocked as a starting round (up to round 10)
Added bonus points awarded after clearing each round
Audiovisual Changes
Added multisample antialiasing (MSAA)
Modified the appearance of the "Fire" profile background
Added blue and yellow flashes to Junk Attack when the Ability Meter is filled
Made red flashing animations (which indicate immediate danger) more visible in crowded parts of the board
Changed timing of flashing round number at the start of Gauntlet rounds, so it aligns with the board replenishment animation
Changed animation for junk being removed from the board (e.g. due to a Junk Transfer), making each block disappear at slightly different times
Added sound effects for charging the Ability Meter (i.e. holding down the bomb button)
Added audiovisual cues for the game speed changing (either due to score in Classic mode, increase over time in Junk Attack, or a Speed Up ability in Junk Attack)

Disabled controller rumble during the demo
Removed excessive logs caused by custom leaderboard colors in some leaderboard menus
Removed spurious yellow flashes from Junk Attack (which normally indicate a bomb was earned in Classic mode)

Added support for scores with more than 7 digits to the HUD
Removed unused assets from Steam builds of the game
Updated menus where you enter your name for a high score, keyboard inputs are no longer interpreted as typing by default
