PolyDestroyer changes
Dear Pilots,
We’re excited to announce an update to PolyDestroyer! This update introduces a brand-new infinite waves system and many improvements to enhance your adventures. Here’s what’s new:
New Features & Improvements:
- Infinite Waves SystemDive into endless combat with the new infinite waves system, testing your skills against limitless enemies.
Visual Damage Indicator: Enemies now flash red when damaged, improving combat feedback.
- Streamlined Wave ScreenWe’ve removed version numbers from the wave start screen, decluttering your screen. Version info is now exclusively on the title screen.
Steam Overlay Interaction: Closing the Steam overlay no longer unpauses the game.
- FPS Counter UpdateThe FPS counter is now disabled by default. You can enable it on the pause screen.
Temporary Removal of Graphics Settings: We’ve hidden the graphics settings temporarily as we work on fixing their functionality.
Store Page Revamp: We’ve made the store page sleeker and more intuitive. UI elements have been optimized to prevent overlap and ensure everything fits perfectly within the borders. Additionally, cosmetics and weapons now have their own headings for easier navigation.
- Credits Panel BackgroundA new background has been added to the credits panel, matching the shop and pause screen style.
- Wave and Enemy AdjustmentsWaves now spawn a set amount of enemies, eliminating infinite spawning based on experience points. The experience system has been removed, and a new on-screen indicator shows the number of enemies remaining. Plus, enemy indicators have been introduced to guide players towards off-screen enemies.
- Store Refresh & Weapon Unlock Pop-UpThe store page now refreshes unlocked weapons correctly, and a new pop-up notifies you of newly unlocked weapons, complete with a close button and a 5-second timeout.
What’s Next?
We’re not stopping here! Planned features include Steam Achievements, Online Multiplayer Modes, Leaderboards, more ship customization options, and expanded ship weaponry to combat new enemies and obstacles. Stay tuned for more updates.
