Dear pilots,
PolyDestroyer has officially launched out of Early Access and into full release!
Thank you to everyone who played, reported bugs, and left feedback, you have helped shape the game to completion!
The full release of the game focuses on stability, polish, and an improved overall experience.
New Features & Improvements
19 new achievements!
Pickups behave more consistently: Coins and health pickups are now tracked correctly, and their spawns make more sense.
- Audio polish passAdded pickup sound effects to Coins, Health, Turbo, Shield, and Weapon Pickups, and fixed volume handling issues (see bug fixes below).
- UI RefreshUpdated the UI for the main menu, loadout page, and options menu to be clearer.
Cosmetics clarity: Cosmetic price text is now hidden after purchase to avoid confusion.
- Controller clarityAdded controller glyphs for Turbo and Shield, along with fixing incorrect glyphs being displayed in certain menus and dialogues.
Visual improvements: Post-processing update.
- Engine upgradeUpdated the game to Unity 6.3.
Pickup logic fix: If turbo or shield slots are already full, the game will no longer destroy those pickups when you fly into them.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the game would not pause correctly when the player dies.
Fixed an issue where the player death sound didn't play on death.
Fixed an issue where audio would not play at all.
Objects are now correctly tracked and destroyed on player death or when exiting to the main menu.
Weapon indicators are now correctly destroyed after collecting a weapon pickup.
Fixed an issue where some SFX volumes didn't change properly when using the SFX slider.
Fixed enemy remaining counter being inaccurate.
Collected powerups are no longer kept after dying.
Highest wave achieved text now resets correctly when resetting the game save.
Equipped skin no longer stays the same after resetting the game save.
Game over sound no longer plays when SFX is muted.
Options screen is now translated correctly when changing language.
