Polity Painter Releases Tomorrow + Map Pack

Mapmakers and Historians, Polity Painter will be releasing tomorrow afternoon with a 20% sale! Beyond that I wanted to let the community know that I will be releasing a map pack that reflects the real world's borders.

Beyond that I wanted to let the community know that I will be releasing a map pack that reflects the real world's borders.

The Pre-Made Maps will include:

  • Europe

  • Asia

  • The Americas

  • The Middle East

  • The British Isles

  • Africa

In the more distant future I plan to release a map of The World.

Here is a WIP preview of the Europe Map:

These maps are far from perfect and will be free for the community. Once downloaded they can be accessed by hitting "Load Game File" as pictured at the bottom of this screenshot:

I will be making the maps available on Discord as they are completed, eventually I will upload a zip-file to itch.io where they can be downloaded as a pack.

My eventual hope is to release it as a free Steam DLC that will be visible on the store page, but this might take until the first or second update to the game, as I have to alter the way the game finds files.

Finally I hope to have workshop/some other method of file sharing that will allow for the safe sharing of user created maps, stay tuned for that.
