Polity Painter changes
Mapmakers and Historians,
The borders are set and the paint is drying. I am thrilled to officially announce that Polity Painter will launch on Steam on May 5th, 2026.
This project started with a simple goal: to create a tool that lets you visualize history and political geography exactly the way you want to. Whether you’re recreating the heights of a lost empire or sketching out a completely new world order, May 5th is the day the canvas opens to everyone.
What to Expect at Launch:
Tactile Creative Control: Seamlessly paint your polities across a detailed map interface.Steam post image
Custom Identities: Every nation is yours to define—assign names, custom traits, and historical characteristics.
Streamlined Utility: A clean, focused application designed to work alongside your favorite grand strategy games or world-building projects.
How You Can Support the Launch:
As a solo developer, the single most impactful thing you can do right now is Wishlist Polity Painter. It helps immensely with Steam’s visibility algorithm as we head toward release day.
