Repeated intro
Hey everyone!
What changed
- Performance
- Balance
- Fixes
- UI and audio
We've been squashing bugs and polishing things up behind the scenes. This patch focuses on stability and fixing some issues that have been bugging us (and probably you too). Here's what's new:
Villain AI Improvements
The Villain should feel much more consistent now. We fixed an issue where he could sometimes trigger multiple chases at once, leading to erratic behavior. The death grab sequence also had a nasty bug where its timing depended on your framerate, so it played way too fast on high-end machines and sluggishly on slower ones. That's now locked to a fixed duration, so the moment hits the way it's supposed to, every time.
Room Stability Fixes
Several rooms including Clinic, Hopscotch, Move It, and Musical Chairs had an underlying issue with how certain game processes were being stopped and started. In rare cases, this could lead to things not shutting down properly between rounds or behaving unpredictably. All of that has been cleaned up across the board.
Musical Chairs in particular had a bug that could cause the game to freeze entirely in certain situations. That's gone now.
Quality of Life
Fixed the screen fade cutting out too early during transitions, which could cause brief visual glitches.
Connector doors now properly manage their walkways when toggling open and closed.
Subtitles now display with correct timing regardless of your system language and regional settings.
Steam leaderboard updates should be more reliable now.
Seasonal decorations have been taken down. Thanks for celebrating with us!
Thanks for playing and for all your feedback, it helps us make the game better. See you in the facility!
