Areas near light sources are now brighter, while corridors, caves, corners of houses, forts, and other indoor spaces farther from light are darker. Interior shading now also affects characters and items, helping them blend more naturally into their surroundings.

Water and lava are now animated, making environments feel less static. We’ve also added additional particle effects and improved environmental variety in the wilderness, including more detailed forests and jungles.

Many of the visual elements in Pixelance had remained more or less unchanged for nearly ten years. With this update, our goal was not to drastically alter the look of the game, but to refresh and polish certain aspects while keeping the overall aesthetic true to the original version.
