🚀 Pixel Starships 2 – v0.8.993
Our 2nd March update focuses on stability and quality of life improvements along with some balance changes.
✨ Improvements
Research details now include page navigation for easier browsing
Research panel now shows missile and craft stats even when locked
Research costs are now visible before unlocking
Improved stat display ordering on list and graph views
Improved overall game stability and performance across devices
Optimised battle simulation responsiveness and reduced latency
Enhanced UI clarity in ship management and crew assignment screens
Improved matchmaking consistency for PvP battles
Minor update to tutorial flow for new captains
Greatly increased first time loading speeds
Greatly improved main scene performance when holding a lot of inventory items.

Fixed rooms sometimes failing to place correctly when dragged onto occupied spaces
Fixed modules not respecting placement limits properly
Fixed crew visuals sometimes stacking incorrectly
Fixed crew ability effects not playing correctly in some cases
Fixed Arson effect and buff calculations when crew has full resistance
Fixed chat messages overlapping sender names
Fixed text input issues in the social panel
Fixed graphics settings not saving properly between sessions
Fixed a missing texture on level 8 Federation ships
Fixed tutorial and mission battles not ending correctly in some cases

⚖️ Balance Changes
Adjusted crew ability timing for better combat consistency and allows ability to be used in more flexible situations.
Minor tuning to weapon cooldowns and shield interactions
Improved AI targeting behaviour for defensive modules
Old Rifle now has higher mixed damage and lower build cost
Added equipment slots for some crews with missing slots
Schrodinger now has 2 equipment slots and slightly lower stats
Fixed Female Deckhand equipment slots
Pinkzilla increased stats; removed armor slot
Engineer crew now has higher ENG stats; lower PLT.

New Boxing gear set with weapons and equipment
Rooms now show a charging highlight effect
New Phoenix Crew

Better pathing for crew movement inside ships
